Blair Boats designed, build and fitted this hard top for Jeanneau 42. This top is built as a PVC foam core sandwich with an epoxy Eglass cloth matrix and unidirectional beams. It was designed to be kept to a minimum weight yet be strong enough to support a person weight, as to be able to attend to solar panels or servicing the mainsail/boom. It also features rainwater gutter and collection system, internal routing for solar panel wiring, recessed LED lights, HD foam inserts for SS support legs and fiber glassed reenforced edges to attach passage covers and clears.
“Working with Laurie and his team on a hardtop for our Jeanneau 42i was a pleasure from start to finish—he presented a thorough budget, kept us informed at key stages, and the project came in on time and under budget. Laurie listened closely to my needs during the process, suggested changes to my sketches based on his experience building hardtops for similar boats, accommodated a few changes along the way, and worked well with our s/s fabricator and our solar panel company to get everything installed on our boat. Blair Boat’s materials and workmanship are top notch.”
