Monet is a Bill Townson (Des Townson's younger brother) 46, she was built in 1992 cold molded kauri with fiberglass and Kevlar laminate. She came to Blair Boats in late 2022 to have her worn out teak decking removed, fiber glassed and replaced with Kiwi-grip nonskid. She then returned in Blair Boat in 2024 when she went up on the rock at the Kerikeri inlet entrance. She had suffered two hull penetrations plus a damaged rudder and keel. Eventually she was brought from the owner by current Blair Boats managing director Laurie Jury who has repaired the damage and will be sailing offshore with her in 2025.
