Shanachie is a Whiting 47 triple skin cold molded Alaskan yellow cedar, she was built by Dave Blair in California in 1980. The original owner brought her back in 1998 and commissioned Blair Boats to fly to California to refit and extend the transom. She has since been sailed to NZ where she was again refitted by Blair boats for the new owners in the shed at Kerikeri. Shanachie is currently moored in Opua.
